No ETAfor relase date of the UBC 2. Sorry. The last two times I gave out an ETA I failed miserably.

I want to buy UBC now, but will I get a UBC 2 license without having to pay a monthly fee and all that?
It would suck to buy now, and have to pay $300 for UBC when it's out...

It is no longer possible to buy UBC 1. Thanks for the interest though.

Why not raise the price and hire additional developer(s) and release it earlier?

Those softwares which are more expensive, but aren't a one man show (more than 1 developer) are better.

Easy answer he cannot afford it. This product is still in the early stages without much of a budget. I may be wrong but I doubt op sold enough copies to even support himself from it.

My hopes that I will be able to raise enough funds with the 2.0 version so that I can hire developers to work on the new updates, as well as the new tools.

Hey I bought your life time license, guess I should have read the posts that we both would lose the license. But I thought you got permission from the seller:

I installed the software and it will not load. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled, and it will still not load. Do I need to ask Paypal for a refund from this guy or did you indeed allow him to transfer it?

Bought lifetime license quite some time ago thinking that this would be great to use but I am waiting on ver 2.

Any updates?? does the ver1.5?? work as it should at this time???

I have not abandoned this project. It's just proving more challenging than I thought it would be. I want to deliver the best product, so I'm taking time to anticipate all the errors and stuff

Beta 3 will be released to the privileged forum members (of the UBC forums) soon - I just need to iron out some bugs.

you know i have been a great fan of your work with UBC. Unfortunately I stopped using it when you said about the next version coming out in order to use it once and for all. But as it seems you have changed your release plans.

That is ok of course cause I know how hard it is to keep up with some things especially when it comes to updating and making an already good program better.

I wanted to ask though what modules are working right now in the beta release without problems. I want to build a quite big list of web 2.0s in order to use them in some pretty evil plans i have coming up

I honestly don't know what modules work and what don't. That's the purpose of the beta program I haven't coded any of the "new" modules yet (well I have, but not for the public at least yet). By all means you're welcome to join the beta (aren't you a member already?) and, if you can, provide feedback on the modules!

Are you actually actively developing this software? How on earth can you - the sole developer of UBC not know what modules are working? I know others are thinking this, but im just going to say it. This whole thing is starting to become a joke.

Seriously! I am a programmer and I always know whats not working or what is, and if I don't my buyers/beta testers tell me and I try to fix it within the next few days. If I can't do it myself I post a job on vWorker (for as low as $20-30) to try to fix that issue.

Relax guys. I know what modules are working and which are not, but I can't guarantee and say they'll work 100% of the time. That's the point of beta testing, so that the beta testers can tell me if any of the modules have any problems.

Like WordPress, Blogger, AreaVoices, Tumblr, My.Opera and some others modules have been coded and they work. That is, they work fine for me, when I test them. Once beta testers get their hands on them, I might be proven wrong.
