But I tried to install CLPro, and I got the php 5.3 error message. I made the database and made a .htaccess file to run php 5.3 and now I'm not getting the error message... just a blank page.

What do I do to get this to work?

It's indeed not our main business but we do have several sites that we use content locking on, allowing us to see CLP from user's perspective and use this point of view to constantly improve it. We'd like to think this is exactly what separates us from the providers of other content locking solutions, especially CPA networks, most of whom have no user/affiliate experience when it comes to content gateways.

If someone is hesitating to buy it because you don't have cPanel -> You don't need it. Just extract the ZIP file, upload it and use your browser to navigate to your upload directory. Then put in your database details and that's it.
I had no problems during install, pretty straight forward
