I'm pretty interested in buying this software but can someone give a few practical examples how this can be used to make money if you have to start from scratch?

There's a bunch of threads around BHW that came help you with this. We also have a section for it in the buyer's forum.

I have a noob question about content locking...
I have a free software download people search for.
Do I have to use incentive offers only since their download will be an incentive, or just any email submit offer?

If you're content locking, you technically should use incentive offers. Not all email submits are incent friendly. You can get round that by blanking or faking referrer, but this obviously has more risk associated with it.

Thanks. I plan on using Maxbounty and I don't want to do anything against the T.O.S so I guess ill just have to look around for some good incentive offers since there aren't any email+incentive offers

MB can be quite strict, so I'd recommend faking the referrer in that case.

Test a bunch of networks to start, and then cut out those that don't perform well.

I love the potential of this application, but I am having trouble with 1 aspect of it that I think should be addressed, as I see many people inquiring about it, including myself, and deem to be very important.

I need to be able to lock YouTube videos UPON CLICK on my WP blogs. I see many tutorials on how to lock an entire page with videos, but not upon click only. The CSS on click event trigger doesn't work.

I have checked the CLP support forum, Google, and manual for answers, but surprisingly haven't found any solutions. I also posted this on the support forum, but there really doesn't seem to be much activity there and don't want to wait a week+ for an answer.

Also note, depending on your theme for your blog, CLP may not work properly on IE (only tested in version 9). When offers are clicked, there is no "waiting for authorization" message. Have tested on several blogs. Some work, some don't. (have a support ticket open for this, not getting too far)

Meathead, I have a question about CLPv2 and social networks:

I downloaded the instruction manual from CLP's site, and I saw the section about unlocking content if the user likes/click social share button.

The next advanced feature is the "CSS Selector Close" function.
This feature allows you to place elements within the locker itself (an opt-in form, a social
sharing button, etc), and then get clicks on those elements to remove the locker.

I was wondering if CLP can be cofigured to work with postback to get the user to sign in to their Facebook account and share on their facebook. If content is unlocked by the user simply clicking the facebook icon, they don't necessarily have to share on thier facebook account.

CLP postback and Facebook's postback are actually completely different - so there's no way to implement it with CLP's postback. For V3, we are actually working on a more "social" aspect for CLP so it will be far easier to implement.

Right now, it will take a little coding to get a Facebook share button in the locker, and from there it would have to work on a timer. The kind of people who would actually share, wouldn't be clever enough to wait to see if it unlocks, so this shouldn't be a major issue.

If you want help with that side of things, post on the support forum and I'm sure someone has already built a workaround for it

Replies are on average are between 24 hrs minimum to 48 hrs, with each reply not really resolving much and leaving questions unanswered. (BTW, support never replied to my ticket within the time period you responded on here)

Sorry to make my post about support again, but this is a pretty big problem for CLP users....as no embedded video can be locked at the moment. If support can just respond within a reasonable time to get this answered, I can move onto actually USING the application for what I need it for.

Whilst I am not making any excuses, support isn't my domain, so when there are issues I do my best to ensure they are resolved.

If you have specific issues with support, please PM me the ticket ID and I'll ensure it is suitably escalated. I will always respond within 24 hours, and usually much sooner. I will look into the support times and make sure they are under 24 hours in future. I do apologise if you feel we have slipped below our 24 hour target.

We do have a coding team in place to make any urgent fixes. This is a new issue to me, and support will forward it onto me if it will require fixing.

Rest assured, if there are ANY problems that we consider reasonable, we will always make sure they are fixed, or at least a workaround coded. It's a dynamic product so we're constantly working to make it better.

Right now, we're working on V3 (remember - you all get a free upgrade) which will have even more features than before.

Spoke with Daniel today via support. Support times are a bit lagging (beyond 24 hrs), but we were able to conclude the Youtube video predicament. Seems as if you need to use the script I listed above (refer to the link) along with the old YouTube embed tag (object code) so that the locker can "lock" the videos from sight until the offers are unlocked.

Daniel stated that this may be an upgrade in a future version (hopefully v3) as this sort of feature is needed without all the extra code (locking YouTube videos).

I appreciate your full support and consideration Meathead. I can now start to enjoy the extremely useful program.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but it sounds like something that can either be done or can be done with some minor coding.

You can set a two stage locker, so you could ask them to complete a CPA offer and then share on Facebook before getting access to the content.

If you followed the instructions on www.contentlockpro.com/faq/ then you should always get a quick response time.

The two main reasons for getting a reply that takes longer than 24 hours are:
- requesting a license change (we are looking into automating this process)
- not following the instructions on the FAQ page and contacting the wrong team

Either way, I just pm'ed you back, your PM wasn't entirely clear.

I wasn't sure if you had bought the product or not, hence why I directed you to support (who don't deal with pre-sales, hence the delay).

You can change the domain on your license if you like. We have no problems doing this at all.

can you or one from your support team do a Team viewer, to get an clear idea about what it actually does? and plz dont ask me to mail them.

As we have a detailed manual, a full time support team and a forum, we don't offer live support unless there is a very specific issue that requires it. The manual goes in depth into using subid's and there is also discussion on the support forum. Beyond that, if you're still stuck, speak to support and they will go over it with you.
