Alright, here's my review of the service I received. I've been busy so I haven't had much time to post about my experience, and well posting it won't change anything and I sure as hell don't want them to try and fix it. I can do that myself. I apologize in advanced for what seems to be harsh, but it's just honesty. I'm sure their service used to be good in the past but I guess they're too busy to provide quality.
I'll keep this as short as possible.
It took about a month for them to make about 50-60 links, and the customer service was terrible. I would send one message with my order id, asking what was going on and if they were making progress.. I'd get a response saying they'd look into it. Another week goes by without hearing from them, so I respond back in the SAME EMAIL THREAD saying, can I get a response? They reply back saying crap like "Sorry we get a lot of customers, can you send me your order ID?" Like HELLO ITS RIGHT FREAKIN THERE. SCROLL UP ABOUT 3 LINES. The majority of their responses were 3-4 word emails.
So upon reviewing their links, they are what they say they are. Though most of the edus were .edu.abc and the like. The backlinks that should contain write-ups simply contained one link to my site, which looks spammy as hell. No write-up, no article, nothing natural about it really. Just a single link. Guess you get what you pay for, considering they are pretty cheap and I did get them 50% off.
I won't be ordering again, and no I would not like to be reimbursed with more links or anything like that, I wouldn't want to wait another month for links that aren't worth my time or money.
EDIT: I told an SEO buddy about what I received and he told me he also had problems with Smartersubmit. They screwed up his links and he had to manually change them all himself, when they wouldn't fix the screw up.
Hi abyssal_miss -
I am actually quite shocked to read your comment and would definitely like to work with you to clear all issues as we are a reputable company providing high quality services. This is why our threads go into several pages and we have many satisfied customers.
The edu distribution is both .edu and .edu.xx
I think there has been a confusion probably. We have 4 types of EDU links we sell. Perhaps you ordered the wrong pack mistakenly??
We have the following different services -
(a) EDU Profile Links (which only give you links... no content)
(b) EDU WIKIS
(c) EDU Blog Posts (not wikis.. actualy blogs on which you get content etc.)
(d) EDU Blog comments (these are simply generic blog comment replies with your backlink)
As you can see our thread here is very strong and ongoing fora long time because we deliver what is promised. I would definitely want to take you up and resolve your issues as quickly as possible. Can you send me your Order ID and Support ticket URL via PM so I can investigate further what went wrong.
Sorry for any confusion here, but I would like to clear up the matter and investigate more into what exactly happened. It just might be that you ordered the EDU profile links instead of the EDU Contextual Blogs. Let me investigate please.
Thanks,
Vishy
