I want to tell you a little something that I discovered yesterday. I have a site where I wrote a review of a product. The keyword is a 2 word phrase that is the product name. Now I know that I am ranking well, as a matter of fact I am #2 for that keyword right below the manufacturer that has an emd.
It has been months since I have looked at analytics on this site and I was in for a shock. From that one article and that one keyword, I have gotten visits from 169 different long tail keyword phrases.
This is why you do not necessarily have to rank #1 for the keyword, you pick up all those others along the way.

Hey guys I had some questions: If I were to change the wp theme on my site do you think that would have any effect on my rankings? I gotta tell you I'm getting pretty bummed out with my complete lack of ctr on the current CTR theme I'm using. Sites been up since early Sept, I have some excellent kw's ranking pretty good on G although I know you really need to get at least on the first page. But in 6 weeks I have ZERO % ctr other than one that I clicked on by mistake. I'm really starting to think it's the CTR theme. I had thought it looked a little mfa-ish but wanted to give it a try.
Any thoughts on rankings if I change the theme and also do you have any suggestions on something a little more polished looking?

I have changed my themes with little or no effect. If it did, it lasted only a short period of time.
I am up to 13 articles, adding one every other day and I see some different keywords climbing up pretty fast now. What are your (BTB, TNPM or anyone) thoughts on linking to the "Article directory" page of the theme?
Obviously I am linking to the post themselves, but thought that maybe I should do a ton of linking to that page as well, with a very spun title to cover lots of different things in my niche. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone done some linkpushes or maybe some social bookmarks to that type of page and seen positive results?

I link to all the pages on my sites... you would be surprised at some of the rankings you can get that way.
