That all sounds fine, in you homest opinion if i was to use a buffer site, does that and will that make the world of difference to the main site in terms of passing juice or is that based more on theory then actual observation. Have you any sites which buffer sites have worked really well for and is on buffer site with one of your packages enough to help move the main site?

I really want to try that monster package but I'm not sure yet. My domain is more then a year old but I changed my host recently and started my blog from scratch. Not sure if this will prevent sandbox for a monster blast.

Is it a bad idea to only use one url and one anchor? Whats the recommended amount. Thanks

I would advise either going for the bronze package or use buffer sites instead. I would aim for multiple keywords and deeplinks.
