Just wondering...........how does this work?
With so many keywords...dont we just need 1 or 2 really highly searched KW
and we can make some good money?
Everyone is talking about thousands and thousands of KW... thanks!
Keywords have MANY uses, here are some examples:
1. TRAFFIC: Building a site with keywords that will generate high traffic
(which you then monetize using one of the 16 major ways of monetizing.)
2. CPC: Building a page with a HIGH CPC ensures that when you
drive traffic there, those that convert to clicks give you better revenue.
(Traffic might come from ppc, banners, email lists, twitter, organic traffic,
and a dozen other methods.)
3. DEMAND: Building your site around keywords with high demand
means that you can get better responses using CPA, affiliate offers, PLR, etc.
(ensure that you research High Search Volume in conjunction with Commercial
Intent for best results.)
4. PPC: Pay Per Click can be very effective (e.g. Adwords Campaigns).
Doing deep and thorough research on your niche, product, customers, trends,
etc. Can yield higher converting, lower cost PPC terms. This makes for far
more effective advertising campaigns both when it comes to cost and
conversion.
5. OTHER: There are many other reasons for doing keyword research,
such as finding your long-tails, or improving your SEO/advertising by
comparing keyword density/anchor text/advertising campaigns with
your top 10 competitors.
Basically, keyword research is an important facet of any Internet Marketers
toolbox. Many people spend hours and hours on the research, and others
choose to outsource it... but any way you look at it... if you're ignoring
keyword research, you're losing lots of money!
