Well, I did Have a great experience with Spamahost at 1st, But if you server ever goes down prepare to wait a LOONG time for it to come back. I was forced to cancel mine. :/

This depends on the problem the server is having. If it is a simple reboot, it is done quickly, if it requires our technicians to hook up KVM, and diagnose that problem manually, that will ofcourse take longer than a reboot.

99% of reasons the servers go down is client's actions on the machine. In those cases, we have to diagnose and find out what went wrong. The other percent is if there is a network or hardware issue. We have customer who have not had a server offline for over 2+ years, and we also have customers who have different situations (like enabling proxy programs) which disconnects remote desktop and we have to manually KVM into it to disconnect. Each problem is unique and can take quicker or longer to solve.

Whats the situation with being blacklisted, or my isp finding out that im sending bulk email, or someone reporting my ip (in the header sections) If anyone knows how to be kept as anonymous as possible that would be good. Its not that im spamming, even amazon sends out bulk email to their opt-in list, just like mine. Of course you get people that love to ruin someones day. Thats why im asking these questions to cover myself.

This has never been an issue with us, especially with Opt-in. If you are following all can spam rules and a abuse report is sent to us, we take care of it without any issue. We will never terminate your server because of such things. To this day, our company that is almost 3 years old, has never shutdown a single server because of a abuse complaint.

So its up to the servers to blacklist someone? not the ISP, if I was using my ISP mail server to send the mail, id have an issue, but by bypassing my ISP,and using an offshore server my ISP will never know Im sending out bulk email. Is that about right?

Hello,

The server would not get blacklisted itself. What may happen is the IP of your server has a possibility of getting blacklisted, but that is something we can rotate and exchange. Since you will be connecting to our machines and sending out emails through that, your ISP would never even have an idea that you were sending out mail.

Hello,

The emails need to be opt-in, we do not allow others. Ruskahost is a simple shared host, non bulletproof. Spamahost we provide bulletproof servers. Any OS can be accommodated, and at the moment we issue 10 max IP's per VPS.
