I use a website called RegisterCompass that does all this for me but unfortunately you have to pay and wont find very old domains that are still expired in the dmoz listings.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I've been reading for a while but I felt inclined to reply to this one in particular because it hits very close to home. In my early days of domaining, I was able to find bulk tools for checking pagerank, checking backlinks, dmoz listing, etc.... everything that xenu does correctly, in bulk. All with the exception of checking the domain age. Sure, some of the scripts would work for a while, some were very slow, but I never found a reliable script to do this for me.

So I developed an AJAX / Proxy solution that uses multiple whois gates and randomized proxies to check domain age in bulk--and its faster than anything I've seen. I decided that since I put so much work into this, that I was going to package and sell it. Of course I would prefer not to oversaturate the industry with a tool like this, because I'd lose out on a lot of domains I planned on getting.

However, what I do want is someone to help me market the script using their blackhat techniques (which I am fairly inexperienced in regards to). If this works out, I have a bunch more turnkey php scripts I'd like to package and sell (article spinners, keyword injectors, synonymizers, etc)... I just need someone who is good at "blackhat marketing" to work with me.

Without going on too far of a tangent here, the script I am referencing is located at the URL in my profile (cssfx dot com) ...I just finished designing the site about 5 minutes ago and I know its not too impressive. I am interested in hearing any thoughts, partnership opportunities, program reviews anyone here might have on this.

This is a fascinating thread, but how does someone stand to gain profit potential through being a domainer?

It seems like you're saying throw up some ads, but presumably if that were profitable the domain owner wouldn't have let it expire. The other idea I saw was to re-sell the domain to Sedu?

Any other thoughts on avenues of exploration for profit?
