Please make sure you REQUEST the proxies. You only have proxy credits by default, you request them from the system as soon as you need them.
That way you receive proxies that have been tested just a short time ago, so the chance is very high that none of them are not working.
Just use the Request module, enter the number of proxies you want and click the button
