It's about the link quality or the traffic coming through this two links? Did you measure how much traffic you getting from these two links to your website/page/post?

Lots of people ask this question.
From our SEO experience: if the forum is ranking for many keyowords and has traffic (semrush, ahrefs) it indicates good health of the forum, and when the new posts from that forum are indexed, it gains some rankings and is seen when you input that keyword (forum post title) in google and filter in last 24 hours, week, even mnbth, it will show up.
On dead forums however, even if you manage to index your post it may be poisionous to your site, so stay away from forums with 0 traffic and which don't rank for many keywords.
We never have somethings like this:

Forums with traffic and rankings can be good even if the main topic (to what it was dedicated) is not in your niche. With new discussions (or commenting in existing niche relevant discussion) you make it nihce relevant and bringing link juice.

These links were posted on older forums with good metrics.

The content used is readable and the anchors were inserted correctly.

The links seem to be sticking, but I am not sure how moderated these forums are anymore.

The forums do still receive a reasonable amount of traffic though.
