Hey, thanks for reaching out!
You're correct - those domains were expired... until I acquired them. I did it for a good reason. What sets my domains apart from those that are freely available is the fact that they come with documented backlinks from authority sites. A lot of them also have high DA in their own right. If you're interested, I can send you the list via PM.
Domains that are aged (i.e. have belonged to somebody for many years and were never allowed to expire) are more valuable and BHW has good offers on those - but as you probably know, aged domains come at an extremely high price.

Hey, I investigated the niches that those domains covered before I snatched them - I name those niches in the list. Of course, nothing stops you from changing them.
