I understand your frustration - I only have Coinbase and I've only used it to buy BTC over the years (which I know is not anonymous so that's a no go). As you can probably tell, I'm no crypto expert, but after doing a bit of research, it seems like opening a Metamask wallet would be the best way. That way I can just accept ETH.
