I paid for upvotes and downvotes on this site a while ago. I can't confirm if the upvotes were delivered, but the downvotes were definitely not delivered. The upvote ratio on the post is still 97%. There is no way there can be 50 downvotes and 97% upvote ratio when the post has less than 100 votes in total.
I contacted them and they seem to have admitted no downvotes were delivered. They said something like "Reddit is hiding their downvote and not allowing them to show." Even if this is true, it still means I paid $30 and got nothing at all. It should be their responsibility to make sure their accounts are undetectable.
Is it unreasonable of me to think that I should get some compensation?

This is bullshit.
The ratio should be WAY lower if the votes are actually counting.
If the votes aren't counting then OP can't say they are being sold, as they are essentially dead votes.
Reddit is hiding them because Reddit detects fuckery and is stopping OP's votes going through.
Note: You will never get a 1:1 ratio of upvote/downvote to score, but most reputable sellers will sell you the score difference, not what the amount that they send as a few always do get picked up by reddits great vote fuzzing.
Find another seller.
