I reached out to Shannon last week about writing what’s going to be our Apple store app description. The service, so far, had some great reviews so I thought I might just give it a shot. After all, it was only 6 cents per words (I’ve been used to 15-20 cents per words lately). After reaching out, Shannon offered to give me a review copy instead and I took
To give some context, we’ve already invested over $150k and 16 months of our live (full time) on this project, so we’re not here to cut corners.
I give up all the info I had from our project (app screens, landing page text, squeeze page link & text, kickstarter landing page link & text) and told
@Rosca to surprise me as I didn’t know exactly what I wanted. 24 hours later, I’ve received the first draft app description draft. I was VERY pleased with it.
I asked for a revision (kinda felt bad about it) because there was some point that I thought was important and were missing (Understand here that although it’s in an evergreen and popular niche, the features we offer are rather unique and difficult to research as there’s not a lot of information on the internet on it - Plus you have to figure out what’s what with ~35 screens design and very little information on the features.
Anyway, I gave up a little bit more information (I still feel bad about it) and another 24 hours later I’ve had a final draft, which was perfect. We’re going to post it without touching a single word. I even think this text had a better flow and was more compelling than the $175 per 1000 words I’ve been used to recently.
It’s THAT good.
However, what impressed me the most is how fast the turnaround time was and how quickly Shannon responded to me. Customer service like that is worth as much, if not more than the actual service.
I will personally be using Shannon’s as my primary content writer for our future blog.
