It kind of depends on the niche. You can give me something vague like 'Yoga' and I'll see what it comes back with but if your site is an Amazon review site and you want to focus on just products I'd suggest narrowing it down to something like 'yoga clothes' or something.

As for competition, this is covered in the OP. KGR doesn't take competition metrics into account at all. They'll usually read as fairly high competition because you can wind up with a lot of authority generic pages ranking for longtails.

It's entirely up to you how or what you want to rank. I'd imagine the most common use of these would be written content.
