Hi imcool221,
I sent you a pm. But just to clearify I design the ads and do not post.
There are much better people for that kind of thing here than I.

BTW Below is a recent ad for a BHW client.
The size is reducted for better viewing here.

Hey tdog1,
Thanks for the comment. These are just to much fun to do. There are quite a few people here that can do bulk postings for you. I just don't do that. I considered it but finally decided it would be a big distraction to the designing process.

It would be kind of like designing an ad for magazines and then doing the media buy. Not a good idea. We each have our strengths.

This is mine. A recent ad for a New York Attorney.

WOW,,,,,,,,that is top notch work!!

In my quest for creating not only nice looking ads but ads that track the
eye to where you want it to go, below is my latest effort.
You can see the eye moves in a circular motion from the center where
the eye lands and rests most intensely, to the headline and then to the
bullited points and and the domain name button.

I used a local point of interest in this case the san fransisco bridge, orange in color
and coordinated it with the button.

The Gavel centered the eye with a dynamic familiar image and drew the eye down
to where we wanted it to go.

REVIEW:

Ok, I've used Guy a couple of times. Most recently, we asked him to make a video
for one of our businesses.

Let me just preface this by saying that Guy's communication and professionalism
are top-tier--not just for BHW, but for any business. His willingness to 'go the extra
mile' separates him from wannabe competitors even further.

For us, business is booming and I've been very busy lately, having to pay people
just to do the paperwork on new sales b/c they're coming in so quickly. I've personally
learned a lot working with Guy and just being associated with how he runs his own
business. A true pro's pro.

We paid him $199 for the video creation and I don't know the countless hours that
he spend working with me on the storyboard, supplying me with an online database/'vault'
to upload the uncut video files to, and the emails and phone calls that he initiated to
ensure that the final product was what I was looking for.

He absolutely nailed the video creation too. I think the finished video came in the other
night around midnight or so my time and I remember sitting at home in front of the bigscreen
(connected to my PC), watching Guy's work and just laughing b/c it was so good. The
$199 pricetag is entirely laughable as well. :D

It was one of those things where you wake up your wife and friends just so you can
show it off...er...ahem...get their opinion. :)

$45 craigslist image ads...you're not going to find a better deal, with this level of quality,
in the Philippines--I've tried :)

Anyway, I just wanted to extend my appreciation to this thread and encourage anyone
on the fence to at least get a $45 image made. You'll see why every one of his
customers comes back to him again and again:

Quality + Turnaround + Communication + Affordability + Reliabilty = GRADE A++ <====

PS Just noticed:
In my quest for creating not only nice looking ads but ads that track the eye to where you want it to go...

Who else do you know that is this committed to excelling when they're already so good?

I guess that kind of work-ethic and attitude is what got him here in the first place.

I would not be surprised if a big corporate entourage is commissioned to recruit Guy
w/ a retainer. I'm considering it myself ;) Order now, before I give him an offer he can't refuse...! :approve:

All I can say is WOW! Guy completed my ad in less than 24 hours. Great quality, communication and professionalism. Will be back for more. Thanks

Thanks blackhat and dtf,
I really enjoyed both projects.
Everyone on this forum has been extremely nice and professional.

So I will be extending my services to landingpages and video production.
That is if I see an interest.
PM me if you are interested and I will show you a few samples.

It has been a while now since I last updated this thread to show an ex of current work So I
thought this ad was a good opportunity. It is designed to do double duty as a Craigslist
ad and also as a 4x6 postcard.

Actually this guy ordered 2 ads that did double duty so that he could test which one
gained the most responses.

Hi deemos,
Just PMd you. Let's catch up on skype or YM or gmail chat.

Are image ads a better alternative to text ads on CL? Will they stick better?

LOL you're asking a person that makes his living designing CL image ads.

However, having said that there are several factors that come into play
How often you post
Can you change your IP address
Renaming your Image ad
Even where you host your ad.
Does your competition Flag you and everyone else.
How good are your PVAs

Does your product warrant an image ad?
Good Image ads drill into the brain and influence actions
But the Message is still the thing to concentrate on first.

Below is an example of an ad I recently created that I think needed graphics
to communicate the message and drive it home.

My continuing quest for congruent image ads.
Meaning, creating an ad that directs the eye
to where we want it to go and provide eye catching
ads that people actually view and read.

Below is a recent ad I created for a BHr.
You can see how the eye tracks thru the ad, from their
entry point thru 9 seperate landing spots. The first two
spots are very hot and the third spot while still hot begins
to cool off. However you will also see the eye tracks to all
the important areas and keeps circling around.

The more the eye circles around the more they read.

When I designed this image ad I used the angle of the main picture
to direct them from the third and fourth spot back down to the all
important contact info area.

What a great tool. And it is free. Go ahead and use it to analyse your image ads and if they aren't circling around your ad and landing on your contact info
you are missing your opportunity for the click or in this case a phone call.

Guy did a Phenomenal job on our ads and had them completed in less than a half day! Also he is very professional. I will use him exclusively for these ads from now on! Also - little known fact - Guy can do amazing twitter backgrounds. Just ask! :D

Ah those wonderful image ads.
I have been getting a new request lately.
It seems more and more people are asking me to completely
write their ads from the headline to the offer itself.

So now I am not only designing the ads but also writing the ad.
No extra charge.

Here is the latest one and it seems to be getting this client the
clicks and is building his downline in a very short time.

I paid artguy51 for my ad yesterday afternoon and he had completely designed my ad by next day in the morning. He also used his ad copy skills to make my ad stand out and look really good. In fact, I didn't even ask for any revisions! Totally recommend his services!

I haven't purchased from Artguy yet, but will be very soon. As soon, I get closer to finishing my current project, I will be using you to purchase a couple CL images.

All the Samples simply look Awesome.

I purchased ArtGuy's service and am very pleased with the results.

Very good communication and worked with my needs. Comes highly recommended.

Thank you ArtGuy. Look forward to more work coming your way with some of my other projects.

stand up guy. Would Highly Recommend his Services to anybody who need CL images

While I am not a huge fan of long copy ads for craigslist there are exceptions and this is one of them.
Not only that but when I created it I took in the consideration of resolution for printing to an 8.x11 flyer.
