Just completed my first clone of a site from Archive.org with Archivaric, and it worked great!
The site only existed on Wayback Machine as my client had failed to pay their hosting fees and it was deleted from their host.
Initial retrieval took less than 10 minutes and was highly accurate. The site had been built on WordPress with a page builder, and has quite a few css and js files as well as images, graphics and PDF downloads. There are about 10 browseable pages, so not huge but reasonably complicated. The clone just had a few image links missing. Updating those was very easy once I installed the cms.php and understood how it worked.
I was hitting dead ends and scams with other options (local HTTrack, other download-from-Wayback-Machine services), but Archivaric really worked without much pain and at low cost.
Pros --
1. It works!
2. Having the CMS after clone is handy for on-going work
3. Low cost is nice
4. Super service when I contacted them for guidance
Cons --
1. Unavoidable loss of WordPress (but no tears over that)
2. Initially I didn't understand how the downloaded clone worked. The trick is to place all the cloned files at root of your hosting (or root of a subdomain).
3. Likewise initially I didn't understand how to fix the few broken images. Needed to clone existing images and upload correct image over them, ctrl+F5 was then needed to recognise the new image, but that might have been my hosting.
This thing really works, I think the only thing holding it back is the need for a really, really, simple, step by step, for-dummies, tutorial showing absolutely every step required. The videos they have are on the right track but don't clearly show some critical steps (the ones I mention in cons 2&3).
Overall, very happy with this utility.
