hello, I want to test before buying, is it possible?

Upon creating an account to test your service, why and what is the reason to ask two of personal information?
Is this legit to do with some rights in your UK country? (Plus, no cookie policy on your website that by law in the UK it must get consent from visitors.)
I got a bot message after registering / clicking package types, that first page flash showing the package subscription page (with Press to contact support green button):

"We need to verify your account before proceeding by asking you to upload the following documents:
Selfie
Government issued ID
If you are OK with this, please click the button below and visit the provided URL."
What if I am not comfortable with, providing those very personal information to unknown first-visit website?
Also, weirdly, I needed to register 2 email addresses due to first email address didn't receive any confirmation messages. Are you taking 2 email addresses on purpose or what the others have experienced there- I'd like to hear it about.
*I don't want to receive PM about this, it should be clear to the others in public and who wants to test your service in the future. So no "PMed YOU!!!" one for this.
