I tot this method doesn't allow anymore. You can't just upload emails and create custom audience. FB has been stricter since early 2017.
Your ad account will get banned in no time.
Maybe it will work now again, I not sure. You can try and let us know.

It works again for normal emails at least, not facebook emails.
If it doesn’t work for you let me know so we can see why that is the case

No more Facebook groups extraction unless the group is public (last Facebook update ) , instead we will do pages extraction ( for all people who made : likes for posts , comment and share ) this is still good targeted audience as they already reacted .

all leads come with Facebook id , Facebook username ,full name , gender , (real email or phone number ) , location , age , and more if you want.
you can use ( emails or phone no ) to create custom audience for Facebook and this will really save your money
