permanent virtual number for verification?

Hi, I'm looking for a permanent number for verifying what's app and other such things. Paying $6 per month for skype is bit costly I think. Textnow is $9.99 which is more than skype. Tried getting google voice by using usa proxy in firefox but after the verification it again asks me to choose google voice number. WTF?

Any cheap way to get a permanent virtual number?

You can move to google voice from skype. Both use Bandwidth dot com as carrier.

Agree that Google Voice is your best bet in terms of options.

even after verifying, google ask me to choose another number.

The number is yours for any purpose for a year, then you can prolong it.
We are using 2 numbers (USA and Canada) works great.

Dont need physical. Want a permanent number for me. Yes whatsapp, fb, and other verifications

There is no permanent number. You can only use one number for a period of time, 20 minutes or several years.
