My company will be changing the URL of the blogging section of our SaaS based software offering site and as the blog part was attracting the majority of from Google and we had them indexed on everywhere including premium baclinking submission sites. How can I minimize the loss of traffic.

PS: We will be using redirecting tool to redirect to new URLs but since the old ones will be deleted, how hard would it hit our site and are there any ways to avert it.

If you correctly implement the redirects, there will be tempo (low harm) movements, in the worst case scenario.

As vario150 says, you definitely need to use 301 redirects which tells Google etc that your page has permanently moved to wherever it has moved to...and that way they will give credit to the new page i.e. backlinks etc.

Thanks a lot, Guys!
