I created 2 pages in Wordpress as suggested in this guide- http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
My question is the page that I want to use as the homepage previous permalink was http://mykeyword.com/mykewordandmorestuff -my postname was (mykewordandmorestuff)
I then changed that permalink to just my http://mykeyword.com (my website)
Now I cant changed the permalink at all. ie. there is no longer and edit button
Did something detected that Im using a static page and realised that it was ok to changed the page permalink to just the website name? OR something is wrong? My permalink settings is /%postname%/
Im using Yoast Plugin & Studiopress Theme.
Also what do I do with the blank page as mentioned in the guide? Do I no-index them or just leave them alone?
What is the correct settings for static homepage and permalink that is optimal for onpage SEO.
