I would like to join the people who are currently doing BH affiliating.

I have a great domain name that I purchased sometime ago towards the "Xbox Niche" area.

The domain name is: XboxBin.com

I would like to know what are some helpful things I could use or develop this site into... any suggestions?

Well first off, you need to find yourself some Xbox related CPA offers or products that you can promote as an affiliate. Really that should just be common sense!

Thats the easy part, now you need to drive traffic.
Really there are any number of sources you can use. Personally, with the your particular target market, Id set up some videos on several xbox games so that you target a large enough group of people. Then have a link to your offer "Win a free Xbox" or something like that. Submit the video to as many different video sites as you can, change them up a bit for each site, just change the backround music and do some minor editing to retain originally.

Id say that this approach would get you a fairly good response as far as the investment you;d have to put in. Otherwise Id look at setting up a ppc campaign, if you have then money and make as much money as you can before G finds you and kills your campaign. You ought to be able to make quite a bit with it though.

On your site I'd also suggest have a couple affiliate links to the most popular games and see if you make sales, if they;re not converting, then get rid of them to avoid the cluttered effect.

Really the options are limitless, social networks is another option.
Just use your imagination and by all means post your results to share the knowledge with the forum.

You could setup a Wordpress blog related to the Xbox, its games etc. You could also put up links to CB Xbox red light fix on it.

The perfect domain is based on the keywords that you want to rank for, and i don't think xboxbin has a lot of search volume per month. If you want to be found on g, you should analyze the keyword competition and choose a keyword that has at least 3k search volume a month.

As far as i can see, you don't know what to promote yet, so this is another mistake you are doing right now. You're willing to take action without a plan and every action without a solid plan is destined to fail. You should figure out what you want to promote first, and then buy the domain name that is related with what you're willing to promote. Not the other way around.

What you should do: First, you should brainstorm and do your market research to see the hot trends and the market competition for them. Go with the niches that have less competition because less competition means less time to rank and if you can scale it up, instead of bothering with one niche, you can rank for 5 niches for the same time period and make much more money off of it. Next, get rid of keyword sets that will take a long time for you to rank. And then, buy the domain name/names that are available.

Trying to promote and rank for random domain names will take more of your time and it requires a certain level of SEO experience and/or enough budget to outsource it. "I got a domain name, what should i promote with it" is totally a wrong mind set.

I.e: If you want to do drop shipping, go look for available domain names related with that keyword. I'm not saying that related keyword domains is a must, but it will make your job much easier for ranking and increase your website's credibility.

Get your hands on Market samurai and micro niche finder. They are very useful tools and they will save you a lot of time when doing your market research. Good luck!
