I see countless threads about people sites being dropped from g and losing all sorts of income from this....FOR WHAT REASONS DOES THIS HAPPEN? are they clicking their own ads or....Very curious and also do not want to make the same "mistakes"

Well the thing is that Google is smart and google tries to get best content for the ones using it.But us,the blackhatters, always find some loophole in the system(there is exceptions but true totally blackhat does loopholes),like spun articles, like backlink campaigns, like fake traffic. But since google is smart it adapts and soon enough closes all the loopholes and the sites that utilized them get penalized aka the content/backlinks has no weight.

Its mainly from people doing to many backlinks to their website at once and eventually google realises this is not natural and the website gets penalised. To avoid this just dont do to many backlinks at once do a steady amount per day and dont go overboard.

What are the main differences between white v. black hat? i thought i knew but i see a lot of white hatters doing things i once thought were black?

spun articles...can G tell if they are spun?

is it better/does it matter if you rewrite v. spin?

what is wrong with backlink campaigns?

and sorry to sound stupid here, but with all these changes happening and people getting hurt doesnt it seem like the best idea to stay white hat?

what tools are categorized black v. white?
senuke?
scrapebox?

what is a steady good amount?
what is a good goal to shoot for as a total?
do you keep getting them forever or get a certain amount then focus on other projects?
and what are the best links to focus on to not get penalized?

There isnt really a magic number for link building you really have to test your self and it also depends on what competition you are trying to beat. I personally dont do more than 50 links to my money site per day its a little low but id rather be safe. Also keep in mind if you do start building links dont suddenly stop one day it may be better to slowly tapper them off, so slowly reduce the amount of links you are doing.

You wont really get penalised for using certain links you just need to use different links from various sources so like .edu/.gov, high pr links, web 2.0, profile links. Hope this answers your question.

A lot of the time it's greed, they find a blackhat method that works and they abuse it like blasting a site with 10k links a day or over spamming blogs, just things that draw to much attention to your site from google.

If you have xrumer backlinks, scrapebox backlinks, duplicate content, etc. then your rankings will drop.

You need social bookmarking sites to get back up.

and also what kind of social bookmarking methods do you mean and how does this help?

The goal is to keep building backlinks. Just don't stop. The second you stop building backlinks, Google will go "hmm i guess this site is no longer that important"

Google is lately obsessed with content that is worth reading. They are making a lot of changes lately, so focus on providing lengthy articles that really go into analysis, in-depth reporting etc.

Yes I am saying xrumer & scrapebox aren't powerful for backlinks anymore.

it is okay to have spam links [a lot of people do and at the moment, that is not a problem]. But you also got to get a little trust from the search engines. Just having spam links does not get you trust but just links. See, that is the problem. Make sure to buy links from a few trusted sites. Remember that trust and authority are two disparate things. Having no trust and just tons of links will not get you very far.

XRumer and ScrapeBox is still kicking... None of my sites drop in serps

I don't know why everyone is bitching and crying about panda. Nothing bad has happened to me. If you have crap content and crap links, what do you expect?

I use linkpushing and edu links. I'm starting to use social bookmarking now. Like everyone I experience dances and random drops. But the sites always come back, stronger than before.
