Porn and Gambling is not legal in China too, police indeed arrest porn webmasters, but in my opinion, very few got caught, because our polices are lamb and lazy lol.
In fact, porn sites are not earning that much, at least in our country, first, the domain would be banned very quick, its very hard to promote your porn site URL online because everything you posted related porn, it got deleted very quick, and when you change another domain, hardly people knows that, cycle like this.
A big porn site/forum can earn some serious cash, but not a single man can handle all things, you need a team.
So in my opinion, in China, porn things are not a easy thing, let alone, you risk your night sleep.

In this whole thread among all the arguments of legal illegal etc this post I found offers some serious know-how - not only regards to the topic, but should be considered as a general rule whenever you try to do anything online and want to hide yourself from moral policing. Having said that you must obey all the laws of land and should continue doing business legal way.

1. Buy domain + hosting using bitcoins. Don't buy them or access them via your real IP.
- always buy with bitcoins
- use trust.zone or airvpn
- 1a ) get a laptop ( use it just for this ), get VPN, TOR, use TOR with VPN. Do not log on facebook, gmail, ANYTHING else. Then find some public wi-fi, library or whatever.
- use protonmail.com ( google it ) - write down details using pen and paper.
2. Avoid USA based domain registers, also .com .net - go with .to .ag .gs .bg... and similar. example: namecheap, godaddy - run screaming from those. Also avoid USA based advertising networks.
3. Approach advertising networks following 1. a)
4. Do not brag.
5. Do not use banks, move money online, wash it, make it legit. If you have to withdraw, get payoneer using fake details.
6. Do not work with people you know irl. Nobody is your friend.
- work from VPS using VPN ( all paid in bitcoins from another IP 1a) thing )
- never use your phone for managing stuff, avoid taking it with you when you operate, they log shit
- switch VPN locations, networks... move move move

I can say this enough...banking really hard from copyrighted porn will get u sued or in jail in some countries. I see that porn reuploading methods are very popular on bhw...i have a simple advice for you -don't do it-......making 10$ a day won't get u in any trouble but if u try to make more trouble will find you.

Ty. Did some research, it all ads up.
Anything more profitable are VPS services - some average sites are getting about 300 new customers each day which usually go with a year plan - mostly buying 6 or 12 plans following that 6mp is around 40$...12 months plan 80$...
Anybody want to start, it's legal?

You sure they did not get arrested for other things? Or perhaps earning a ton of cash and not declaring it. Money laundering etc? Most people that run stuff like that invest it in other things like drugs... people trafficking etc. Hosting porn sites on the internet is not illegal unless it's animal, death (snuff), child or rape(real) all countries have their own limits. But if your hosting it on US servers and your host allows porn then whats the problem?
Now if there hosting it direct from their own servers and it's child porn of course they will be in trouble.
On a serious note use your brain. You go by the laws of the land your server is hosted in. If it's just hardcore porn on US severs then stop being an emo and get on with it. Money to be made.

1. Use hosting from countries like Netherland or Germany.
2. Try to not host videos directly on main server.
3. DONT HOST ANY KIND OF CHILD PRON!!!
4. DONT USE PAYPAL FOR PAYMENTS
5. Manage your sites trough a windows vps
6. For payments use Payoneer, if the income is under $5k per month is enough a single account, if is more then $5k split it in two payoneer accounts.
7. Use whois guard on domains.
Be careful with openload, many sites are banned by google because of them ads.

If you're just a reckless single boy making cash asap hit-n-run type (like most VNese) I wouldn't care less, but you have a family to care. Why risk it legally and morally. I remember years ago (like in 2010 the prime time of PTU) I was questioning myself people are making $ millions with porn websites and PTU, why couldn't I, but I stopped that thought because I wouldn't know how to respond when somebody found out what my work was.

Hey bro, no need to be so much judgemental! OP is not running a sex racket or brothel or shooting porn himself! He is just an average guy trying to make some money by affiliate marketing of some big porn site for which he is showing some banners/videos in his own site. Of course he must obey his laws of the land, but don't mix legal with moral. Or am I missing something here?
