People Dont click ads anymore

I am not running those Adsense micro-niche sites, but a few general purpose guides, tutorial sites with around 7k unique visitors every day among 3 sites.
So, 7k unique visitors are converting into $0.82/day in ad revenue on Adsense which is very low.
My last 7 days earning is $5.42
whereas last 28 days, it's $17.31

I am running 3 days limit per page with a banner ad on header and footer and one ad between content.
I have also opted for Page level ads for mobile which is converting the worst
77k total impressions on page level ads and Estimated earnings $0.21 total which is pathetic.

Can someone experienced in milking revenue from ads give me some tips?

What's your CTR? Bounce rate?

Im still a newbie but isnt facebook ads better for tutorial sites and such?

That's an usual result for 7k uniques. People still clicks on ads. OP did you experiment with ad placement? I was troubleshooting a general blog type site last month. The in between content ad was a small banner. Changed that to text and now getting surprisingly good result.

Get a good CTR theme for your site

Have split tested your ad placement and size?
Where do you visitor come from? What's your avg. CTR?

It's basically a forum where I am running ads in header, footer and below first post. I can't really experiment anymore.
My CTR is: 0.22
CPC: $0.06
Impression RPM $0.16
My traffic comes 45% US and rest is EU and mostly Tier 1 country as this is a forum related to gaming and the game has a very high cost to entry which tier 2-3 country cannot afford.
I am thinking about disabling Page level ads and testing.
