People banking with Clickbank?

I'm new to affiliate marketing - haven't even set up my first site yet. I want to get into it soon, though. I'm just trying to think of a profitable niche. Is Clickbank a good way to bring in some income if you can target the right niches? Is it still "working?" Should I use Amazon Affiliates, Clickbank, or both?


Also, if someone could give me a very quick summary of how "gravity" works on Clickbank I would appreciate it...I think it's more complicated than "the higher the gravity, the better"?

Simply put, the higher the gravity of a product the more it is being sold by affiliates. It means that the product probably converts well on targeted traffic, but is in a competitive niche. So if you want to make a niche site and either 1) rank it in the SERPS or 2) have a low CPC with paid advertising, you should probably look for lower gravity products. In my experience, a good range is usually 20 - 60
