Would be interesting to know who of the people that actually makes money doing IM for a living is investing in some sort of pension, let's face it, we will all get old and old backs don't sit down so easily anymore

What percentage of your earning are you directing towards this ( or maybe other fiat investments ? )

I've been full-time IM for the past 4 years and have invested a lot of my earnings into property. I bought a couple outright and now rent them out for a sustainable income (I don't have a pension). If the IM work dries up then i've got a steady income, or I could sell up :)

Good plan, if those areas are in different parts of town. If one area goes belly up ( it can happen , there are many examples of this happening ) at least the others' rent will still be stable . Nice thing about property is they keep up with inflation, well mostly .

Currently also have some ( a duplex unit rented out as two ) and a house/flat combo ( I stay in the flat and rent out the house )

Nobody ? Hope I'm not the only one. As much as we don't like to think about it, it is the reality of life. Sucks but true

Hopefully I'm dead before that so it's nothing I'm worrying about yet.

I get half of my ex husband's pension which was part of the divorce settlement. He retired last year at 50 so that is when my pension kicked in. I have also been filing taxes for self employment for 25 years, so social security will be added in when I retire. But I never want to retire. I enjoy working too much.

On another note, Hi everyone, I missed you guysssssssssssssssss
