I'm workin on it. Shit's gonna make me millions!

If you find anyone, let me know. One of my money sites got hit but also unnatural link building.

Unless you are making thousands per month from your website, trying to recover Penguin-hit website will cost more time and effort than build and rank a new site.

Judge the pros and cons carefully, if you are in an easy niche, it is better to build new site.

I have seen a Blackhatworld fellow took 1 year to recover his site using Google Disavow tools and lots of time to submit reconsideration request. You can use the search function to search back his thread on his journey.

Hope that helps

Hhmm its a tough one, start again or clean up...

What this guy said.

Definitely recommend that you submit a reconsideration request (assuming you have good content and not just spinned junk).

how to know if your site that is hit with penguin can be recovered?

try building links to it.. monitor all the links.. most of the links should be indexed..
i recommend home page links, sidebar links or blog links...

if there are no improvements on the rankings, that means your site can not be recovered...

There's a lot of alleged recovery services, but typically the penalty is set in stone. No matter what you do for 180-365 days won't work.*

*NOTE: It depends on the level of penalty you have. If your site was de-indexed completely or your keywords are not in the top 200 you're probably screwed. If you only got slapped a little bit, then yes, you probably can recover the rankings.

My site is still ranking and previous seo packages i got from here do get kw moving, so im kinda thinking it is just a slap....

A reconsideration request does nothing against algorithm changes. They are purely for manual penalties.

Just continually create highly quality, relevant backlinks with diverse anchor text and you're sorted. Might take a while but it will work.

Clean up on-page spam you know you've done
Clean up bad links you know you're been involved with, as best you can
Wait for news of a future Penguin Update and see if you recover after it happens
If it doesn't, try further cleaning or consider starting over with a fresh site

I struggled to move my penguin-it sites back up, kept jumping to page 5 then vanishing the next day.
I duplicated it over from the .com to the local domain for my country, with the help of a guy from fiverr, it's now sitting pretty at number 1 :) took 2 months and cost $24 to get it there from starting scratch
