Its fucking annoying.
There will be always people that will post " yes, my ranking suddenly dropped, probably is the new google update", they are trying to blame something else for there failures. Probably your ranking dropped because you are using a crappy links, did you ever consider that option?

Got a few screenshots of the rankings drops/rises of my site and my competitors over the 24/48 hours that are completely out of keeping with anything that has happened since the last update. I'm well aware that google rankings rise and fall, but almost every site in my niche seeing relatively huge rises and falls over the same 2 day period after months of stability? I'm not having that that is just normal stuff.

It appears that this is a Panda rollout affecting 3-5% of queries and incorporates into Panda a few more quality signals that can help small to medium sites rank higher. Really looked like some kind of "Phanteguin" update to me. Definitely didn't look like Penguin.
