Penguin 2.0 Live??

There's definitely something going on! I saw a drop of 4 positions in one of my (very few) niches, and a 10+ drop on the others, but all the sites are recent. :( In the niche I dropped 4 positions, my site is the only site on the top 10. Google's first page is now dominated by two forums and the rest is FB pages. And most of those new "neighbors" weren't near first page before! Let's see how things stabilize in the next couple of days, from what I read this things take time. It's my first penguin, so I can't compare its strength to the previous ones.

Although Google has announced that the rollout is complete, I am still seeing movement in all my keywords. A few of them have dropped down, while others have went up. So far, in terms of my own sites, tt seems like all the sites that incorporated tiered links is experiencing a few drops in ranking while the sites with no tiering all went up. It's too soon to tell so I'll be looking out to see what others have experienced.
 
farking youtube, 4 out of the 10 on a hard niche. Farking google; wiki, yahoo voices, 4 youtube vids, another auth site. Guess everyone has to pay to be on the first page these days. O yeah, really giving the small players ago aint we. Dicks.

yeah, i don't see much movement now, but they don't roll the update to every data center at the same time...but who really knows...give it a week and lets reassess at that time...
 
I honestly thought it started 2 days ago, some of our clients sites had some wild serp movements over the last 48hrs, Some kws dropped 296 spots in one day, just to turn around and gain all the ground back up and land 2-3 spots higher than they were originally. Would still like to know exactly what this new update is supposed to do? Because it's looking like most of us should just continue what were doing lol
 
Yeah OK. Massive movements today.

And I really do believe that this is just targeting links. OWCH!

Hey Windmill, is the links of yours that got hit anchor text kws? or just generic links? Just curious as We have seen a hit from anchor text using the kws. Our generic links however seem to be doing very well, and oddly my personal sape linked sites are really rocking now.
 
Some went up and some went down. Got mixed results as well.

No link building is Penguin or Panda friendly. You're an idiot if you think that. The updates target black hat, white hat, and all the hats in between.

Dont u know people lie a lot?
No service is penguin safe. If a link is being sold, it can not be penguin safe.
People again lie when they call their service panda safe..Panda has nothing to do with off page. It has to do everything with onpage only....
a service can not have connnection with panda......

You should use your own mind and not trust those penguin panda safe type words.
