Pending Follow Requests of Private Users?

I've been working manually and have been only follow/unfollowing public accs and it is drastically slower than simply following all including the private users.

But the issue is the pending requests of private users, from what I understand they count towards the 7500 following limit.

Do they expire or time out after a certain amount of time?

Anyone have any clarifications as to how this works?

Yeah, they do expire in about 30 days, but I might be wrong with this number (its been a long time since I had problems with this issue), also deactivating and reactivating your account releases them, but I wouldnt recommend You to do this several times if you want to be out of the radar.

I have an account as mentioned in another Journey thread I created that has now stopped me from following more accounts at 6767, about 750 shy of the follow limit of 7500. This however offers no insight as to whether or not IG deletes these requests after a set period of time. Still seeking clarification on this, if anyone actually knows.

My account was once able to reach 7.8k following. Then, I can't follow anymore. I believe the follow request does not count towards the following number which is why when those people accepted my request, it adds up.

On another note, I have also seen people with 10k following. I have no idea how he managed that.
