But I don't know if buying .org is better than .net for SEO. And at what point do they become virtually not worth buying. I have heard said that if you can't get .com, .net or .org don't bother with the niche. Thanks in advance for your help!!

I have seen .info ranking first page all the time. I believe its not about the domain but the work behind the domain.

i would pick .com the best, but yeah your quality means everything of the site

I recently got an .xyz, just for testing. I'll let you know how it goes

Of course content is king but after the .com some ranking must exist otherwise I could just grab any of them. I appreciate the comments but hope to get more info before I buy.

Assuming you're trying to go for an EMD just add another word to the end of it and problem solved - that way you can get the .com

Domain names are only one part of SEO and it's only going to get you so far on their own. What I'm trying to say is don't over think it too much.

[h=2]#1 Pick for SEO Ranking: .COM
#2 Pick for SEO Ranking: .ORG
#3 Pick for SEO Ranking: .NET

Anyone have any thoughts about country codes? (.us, .ca, .co.uk... etc?)

I know they cost more but do they help boost results in those regions?
