PBNs Not Working, 2nd Dud, I Dont Get It

I've got a site that I made thats ranking #11 with no links. Ive made plenty like this before, and from my experience with competition this low it should rank 1-4# with 1 pbn link.

So I created a pbn and shot a link at it -- no effect at all after 2 weeks. Figuring it was just a dud pbn I created another and tried again -- same thing, no effect after 3 days now.

I've gotten duds in the past but never two in a row like this. The only thing ive been doing different is being a bit more lax on the google paranoa. In other words, I'll have chrome open listening to a movie while working on the pbn in firefox, and might not even bother clearing ff cookies first.

Is that a possible reason for why the pbn didn't work? We're all careful about security but could they really associate a pbn to your ip that way and divow any power to your money sites -- or is this just paranoa?

Both of these pbn sites had content I personally wrote and everything gets indexed in under 12 hrs. So I don't get it. Again this has happened before but never twice in a row.

being serious now , give it some time , are the links indexed on webmaster tools ? if yes still fine , sit back and work on your site , add some content and give it some social love

You may have gotten lucky many times before, but generally one link is not enough to rank a site in top 3 unless it's a very powerful link from an authority site. Also pbN (N as in Network) is a network of links, not just one.

What kind of competition do you consider "low"? How many exacts per month on the kwd? What's the TF of PBN link(s)?

I'd bet the link hasn't been indexed yet.

I used the term improperly because we all know what it means. Otherwise i'd have to say "an expired domain to point at a money site". Im lazy I guess.

Ok, well, it hasn't gotten any movement at all. That is the point of thread. And this term is low enough in comp that even a bad pbn (which this isnt) should have given some movement.

The post is indexed. The first one was over a week ago. Usually ill see serp movement in 24hrs.

Suppose its possible to rank 1-4 using a domain with really good metrics but i would suggest using at least 5 domains for the PBN.

You checked the domain hasn't got any penalties yeah? And backlink profile that isn't spammy

Yeah, it will have more meaning than most of the other quotes there.

Not sure whether it's indexed or not, so not going into that. OP, you might want to build a network of sites hosted on handpicked domains. Link from one site with no footfall, google bot included, will not help you in your cause.

Be patient and give it more time.

In general, nowadays, Google is slower to respond.
