PBNs - Do you rank your PBNs?

As per title, do you guys attempt to rank your PBNs?

ie. if the keyword pointing to my money site is "Dog Training", do you guys attempt to rank your PBNs with onpage SEO for Keywords like "Puppy Training Chicago", "Puppy Potty Training" at least in the top 100?

*edit - Idea is to establish relevance for your PBN, as my understanding is that if a post that is ranking on #6 for KW "Dog Training" links to your Money site for "Dog Training", you'll experience a better SERP result.

Onsite wise? Yes. I am always optimising the articles. The higher your backlinks rank for related keywords to your money site, the more effective they are. However I do not do, nor I advise anyone to do, offsite SEO for PBNs.
 
Do not look at your own PBN as a "PBN" Build it as good as a money site!! so google bots do not think it is a "PBN" that is the trick!
 
Let's assume niche related is already a given, and you've caught urls which will rank their own name/title, and you've paid well enough for them they are worth investing in. If not pass, leave it for bottom feeders - you are not getting the kind of quality required from expireddomains.net to ever be long term viable.

- Did you rip the site from archive? Don't push it that's someones property, treat it well, don't scam people, and make sure all posts or pages help a user and on site seo is decent.

- Did you build it from scratch and invest heavily in design and content - if you aren't trying to push this type of site you are missing an opportunity if the backlink profile is a bang on match for your content and if it's not why?

The new pbn is no longer a pbn, it's a network of quality websites.

wouldn't you agree @MisterF ? or is this too much free information? Should i be charging someone that could of used the search since the result exists.
 
As people above have said, yes. It is always a good idea to make your PBNs not look like PBNs, this means ranking for keywords, getting actual traffic, and having a social media following. If you have all of these things, it's very hard for G to determine if it's a PBN or not.
 
Yes, best way to make them look real. Looks a bit odd if you have these amazing links pointing to you but no one goes on the site.
 
yes thats the best way ...... i make a pen for one page not for several and mix niches. so my pen page is about dog training somehow as well.
 
OP, it's fine if you want to rank your PBNs by making it look natural. Your idea of making it relevant is a plus.
 
no actively off page, but on page is the idea.
if the pbn posts # top 100, thats great. if not, well, sometimes it doesnt cause of comp.

sometimes, some web.20 outrank the target page. that is kind of disturbing. but hey, thats the game and cause of "quality properties"
 
Fundamentally, PBNs are used because of the cost effectiveness of delivering quality results in the shortest span of time. With this in mind, creating a network of "money sites" and investing more time and money trying to rank these "money sites" does not equate bringing the best SERP results to the initial money site, right?

ie. If I have a money site, and I try to create 50 PBNs. So should I create 50 PBNs to try to rank my money site or should I make all 50 my money sites, too?
 
I see PBN sites organically ranking as a signal of their strength/effectiveness. Realistically - a strong domain that has no footprint should rank for some phrases, even if it is long tail.
 
sure its great if the are in the top 100 results ..... make it look like a real page is the way to go.
 
i select some content which is easily ranked for my PBNs so that it shows some decent metrics in SEMRUSH.
