Hi,

I am looking to register a domain I found for my PBN and I noticed that it had a 301 redirect to a non-spammy site as the last page on the site before being deindexed. Does this affect the quality of the domain as a PBN? Something about losing link juice?

Thanks.

You should not use the domain which has already passed its link juice to another domain.

That says it all OP. Find another domain.

IF the 301 looks natural - by all means get it. People 301 domains for a number of reasons:
- Changing company/site name
- Buying out a company
- Site of business, redirect to facebook
etc

There are domains that were redirected for a valid reason. Domains redirect to another site is fine for me unless they were redirected for SEO purposes.

There seems to be some mixed opinions here, I have found similar mixed opinions elsewhere on the net. The site it is being directed to what looks like a new version of their old site, it is definitely not a spam redirect.

It seems intuative that the link juice is only passed to the new domain while the old domain is still redirecting, so once the domain has been been dropped that link juice is passed back to the old domain? Can anyone help clarify this?
