Hi all,

I'm new to black hat SEO and have a plan for my website that I think may help boost the rankings. Would be great if I can get some advice here.

I'm planning on building a 2-tier network where a set of say 5 (new) domains will link to our 'money' website. For each of these new domains, I want to buy expired domains to link to them. The idea is to let the juice flow from the (expired domains) -> (new domains) -> money site.

The reason I want to have the second layer is to provide some isolation and reduce the chances of getting punished by google if that makes sense.

Is this something that sounds sensible or is there a better way of doing this?

Also, anyone can you recommend reliable sellers here that can setup expired domains, write content for them etc? I'm looking for something zero maintainance and long term collaboration.

Thank you,
Joe

This sounds like most 2 tier PBN's out there, except that the new domains in between will slow you down 6 months to maybe over a year. Thus PBN's usually link from expired domains to the target site directly.

I agree with bartosimpsonio.

You normally build PBNs straight to money site.

Or, if your niche is tough and your money site is super amazing site and you have a budget then, perhaps, tiered PBN is a good thing - you build 5 or 10 really good looking PBNs and then get lower quality PBNs linking to tier 1 PBNs.

Thanks - what's the risk of using expired domains linking directly to a money site? I have zero experience of that

Build the PBNs, let them sit for 1-2 months, the more the better, then use them for links. The risk is practically zero, assuming the domains are good, you build the PBNs without leaving footprints, and did not fuck up with anchor over optimization.

Thanks - so to just to clarify: I can start with the inner ring (i.e. sites that will link directly to the money website). I build links to them via expired domains (outer ring) but wait for a few months before I start linking to the 'money' site - is that correct?

My answer is about linking to your money website directly from the PBNs. To be honest I am not sure that it will be a problem to link to your money website since day 1 from the new websites, but just to be on the safe side maybe is better to wait few months after they got indexed as well.

Thanks - so I have an idea.. how much would it cost to setup 5-10 high quality PBNs? I mean the whole thing, buying the domains, setting up hosting etc.

For the Tier 1 sites we'll do the content. My plan was to keep buying Tier 2 domains on a regular basis (weekly) and ideally find someone that can provide the whole package (including content). Basically I'd want to be able to manage and maintain Tier 1 but don't want to do that for Tier 2.

ok I see - thank you!

Add me on Skype - ninjaslink.com or email me and we can discuss this in private.

If you don't set obvious footprints then a PBN should look like legit links.

mzonas - I pm'd you here with my email - I cannot find yours.

Service providers here like me are building dedicated PBN for money sites. Normally, it will be more initially for first month and reduced amount for consecutive mommon for maintaining the PBN. If you are interested, I can message you the details.

It's like a using 2 condoms, maybe safer but... (sorry, first thought after reading this ). For a long time I've been reading about PBN and everything I can advise is:
1. Build your money site (with focusing on on-site seo first)
2. Create Social Fortress (FB, YT, Twitter etc.)
3. Wait for indexing your site and social profiles
4. In meantime build your PBNs and let it stay for some time (publish good articles and make it look real - add privacy policy, contact page, use unique content and themes.
5. Add links slowly, 1-2 links a week
6. Add fresh content to your PBNs at least few times a year (especially when you use in footer links)
7. Relax and enjoy :D

I'm doing the same and it starts looking good ;)

Thanks - some background: I've been running this website for a several years and the traffic is pretty decent (over a million users / month). Never bought backlinks or anything else, traffic grew organically doubling each year. I do a lot of work to ensure the site is full of metadata, all content is 100% genuine, site is very quick (0.3s to load a page), etc. However, being totally honest - and don't mean to offent anyone - I'm forced into this simply because every other competing site does it. It's frustrating to say the least. I'll go as far as to say that all top-ranked sites do it (apart from the big boys). ok, enough complaining on my part - thanks for the advice :)

Wow! That is great achievement congrats! I thought that this is a fresh site and you want to start building first links. If I had such a big website then I would focus more on quest posting if this is possible.

If you have funds then better hire someone who knows how to build PBNs properly (or even some SEO agency) if you don't have any experience. I think that on this forum you should find someone :)

Good luck! :)

Wish I had help from someone who knew what they were doing when I first started building PBNs. Look back now and see all the rookie mistakes.
