after spending 5 hours reading the PBN guide by vishy and all the posts. Here's a question I have.
the reason I am asking is that based on what vishy wrote in the guide,

quote “In a recent Google Hangouts, Gary Illyes from Google has said that they are working to devalue all the SEO juice a dropped domain passes on, if its re-purchased after being dropped. That is not via an Auction, but once it "drops" or "expires" and is deleted from the registry. This is a very significant statement, and affirms that Auction Domains are still powerful, but expired domains could be on their way out (and probably are already).”
If I am understanding correctly, it means "dropped" domains are gonna be no good in the future (he wrote it in 2017) and expired domains from auctions are still good?

I understand that after a domain expires, it goes to grace period of 30 days, and then 5 days of redemption period, once these 2 periods pass, it goes to auction, and this is the time people can "backorder" buying it? is the domain at this stage considered as a dropped domain which loses most of the SEO link juice? or is it considered as a domain which holds the SEO link juice based on vishy's guide?

Really want to be crystal clear about this part.

Thanks guys

We will have to wait to find out about this but it’s google you can’t really trust what they say, however wait for a while someone will do a case study soon on this

Aged domains non deleted keeps all backlinks up, an expired dropped domain deleted lose them, and when you buy it, you buy it like a new fresh domain.

Already testing it for like 8-9 months, with aged domains and with expired dropped ones, and yeah, those expired ones for me don't work, all have good backlinks in back according by tools like ahrefs but there is not juice at all according to results.

Which means when you see a domain at a auction & do a whois check on domain, as long as they doesn't show "drop" it's good for purchase?

After Gary Illyes's statement, the whole 2 years (2018-2019) experts used to build PBNs using Dropped Domains. In most cases all are successful, you must ensure the Quality & No Footprint.

But YES, Auction Domain is powerful than Drooped because there is No Registration Interruption.

And Yes, I agree with @Mr Positive

By there's no registration interruption, you mean ..... no drop records?

The problem here is, that people who claim that regular scraped domains do not work either:

- Register domains that were abused in the past, toxic, penalized, etc.
- Register domains that are weak.

Lately you can barely find a clean RD20+ clean scraped domain (because we have raped Internet 3 times over already), so even if you buy an average auction domain, which is well over 30 - 50 RD, the effect is significantly better. Of course, I am using RD here as a rule of thumb.

If the domain is dropped for some time, the effects might take longer to kick in, but eventually, it will. I have dozens of clients buying shittons of scraped domains that have been dropped for ages and they are ranking for pretty competitive terms with them.

So, bottom line:

- Don't trust to what Google cunts say.
- Domains are really not losing power over time. It might just take longer to kick in.
- People should take a look at their own work and skills, before actually blaming the tools they use.
- People should use their heads a bit more, SEO isn't a rocket science.

Google without a doubt tries to manipulate webmasters and SEOs. Their intention is to make the Internet move to the direction they want. However, I do believe that there is some correlation with the duration a domain stays dropped.

We sell 2,500 SEO domains per week, 95% of them are expired domains, that have been expired for anywhere between 1 day and 10 years.

Expired domains clearly work and we have client companies that are generating millions per month from SEO - investing exclusively in bulk expired domains.

Usually whatever Google suggests, we do the opposite of.

Great answer.
