Ok, so I decided to build my own PBN.
I'm using Xenu to find broken links, then check if domain is expired.
When I'm checking the metrics I want at least TF/CF 10/10, DA/PA 15/25
When I find a domain which meets my criteria - it usually has 5-10 shitty backlinks :/ (few directories, few nofollow comments and other random backlinks)
Would you buy it? Should I lower my standards? Otherwise I will never build my PBN :)

Any advice?

thank you

I've built PBN nodes from domains that have been selected purely on metrics alone, without manually checking the backlinks (except the anchors, for known spam keywords).

Those PBN nodes have performed just as well as nodes built with domains that have 'hand checked, high quality' links.

FWIW, I think you also need to check an additional metric - ensure that CF does not exceed TF by more than 1.5 or 2x.

Also, if you want to eliminate spammy anchors, you can also start by ignoring domains with more than 250 referring domains... that will get rid of most spam right away.

tony_d,

What is Your personal criteria for them:
CF/TF, PA/DA

So, do you think it's allright to buy a domain which has 5 not the best quality links, but cf/tf pa/da looks alright ish?

Don't buy pbn which doesn't have good metrics !!!

If u buy then wat will be the difference between a normal domains and quality domain for pbn !!! Think and proceed !!!!

My criteria:
≥10 referring domains
≤250 referring domains
TF≥10
CF≤2xTF
DA≥15
Spam free anchors (no viagra, louis vuitton, oakley, cialis, canada goose, etc)

That's my criteria, and it works for me. Plenty of others have different criteria, and they might post here too.

I know, the problem is to find good ones. any tips? :)

I do it by hand so it takes lots of time to swipe trough the mountains of crap.... i try to get only good domains with lots of strong backlinks from authority websites like government and educational sites.

where do you look for them? using no tools at all?

Would I buy an expired domain with 5 - 10 shitty backlinks? No. You'd be better off buying a brand new domain and building the same shitty backlinks to that instead - at least this way you could control the niche and relevancy of the domain, rather than pick one up that bears no relation to your money site.

My own personal view on metrics is that most of them are fairly unreliable. If Moz is showing the majority of the main backlinks (which is not always the case) then I like to look for a Domain MozTrust of 3.5+ but again I'd prefer to look at the backlinks themselves.

≥10 referring domains
≤250 referring domains
TF≥10
CF≤2xTF
DA≥15

@Tony_d
that's not bad, your CF<2TF comes close to the CF/TF ratio Majestic is propagating and what we use as a strong paramaetr to exclude SPAM in the first row in seconds, before hand checking backlinks and history.
Cheers

I believe that your metrics are too low... Personally I don't use anything bellow TF15. A lot of seo experts agree that strong TF is number one indicator for quality pbn domain.

If you struggle to find good quality domains for PBN you can check my list here - http://livefromcloud.com/pbn/ I believe that my prices are lower than everyone's else.

Finding a good domain is SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS.
Spent 4 hours today, didn't find any :/

Any advice? How do you guys do that?

@sajeneika I dont know if I want to buy, not sure how safe is that..
