PBN Linking Method - Case Study In Progress

As far as monetization is concerned, both the money sites use amazon affiliate and out of the 30 PBNs, 18 sites use adsense and rest of them use amazon. This is same as previous month, even though i had planned to try using adsense, i felt this configuration need to be checked at the peak traffic levels before i test with one monetization method for a full month on all sites.

You put GOOGLE adsense on 18 PBN sites?? Seriously?

Keep us posted. Looking forward to reading way more about your method.

Oh wow, I think it's weird that You didn't get penalized. Isn't a very important factor in SEO to diversify links? How does this method work so successfully? I am kinda doing the same so I am worried about getting penalized. Thanks.

I didn't go overboard with PBNs too, just hovering around 20-30 links per domain and another 50 or so in tier 2. I believe penalties also depend a lot on the competition in the niche as highly competitive keyword will need more number of PBNs and then you reach the danger level.

I use 4 different Adsense accounts for the PBNs. And I seriously believe Google is not sharing that data to give any penalty. Penalty depends on other factors which includes hosting IPs, number of backlinks to the site etc. Reporting by competition is one another major factor. Games hack niche is a classic example for this. You cannot stay on first page for more than 3 months in this niche without getting reported. So, your effort should all go into hiding your PBNs in my opinion.

1. What do you think of getting a dropping domain as T1 PBN instead of building a new one with no link profile?
2. What is the competition rate of the KW you target according to the competition measure tools?
3. What other backlinks do you get for your MS instead of T1 PBN?
4. What other backlinks do you get for your T1 PBN instead of T2 PBN?

1. I have been using only expired domains with good metrics Rr both tier 1 & 2 PBNs, never used fresh domains for this.
2. Competition ranges from 12k searches to 70k searches.
3. No other backlinks other than Tier 1 PBNs.
4. No other backlinks to tier 2 PBNs. I don't believe in sending mere spam to PBNs as backlinks, just not worth it. I picked up those domains for a reason to be my PBNs, that is to avoid spam backlinks and then I don't want to end up giving more spam.

How long does it tend to take you to see results from these efforts? How much do you do a week?

Of late, Google takes sweet time to give credit of backlinks. I have been personally seeing 4-6 weeks from the time links are indexed. Not sure why. May be gurus would be able to shed more light on this. I did these link on heavy hammer for the first month, now I don't do much except add couple of PBN links every month to ensure that my sites stay ahead of competition.
Don't you think that link diversity like activity on forum, blog comments, friendly directories could be beneficial?

Definitely it can be beneficial if done in the right quantity. But then each method site/forum where you think gets you a quality link can become a spammers paradise very soon. But one do not track the blog comments/forum links to ensure they are not getting spammed in the long run, it's only after you receive a penalty the links are checked. Too late then to do anything. PBN gives you total control in this aspect. It has been working well so never needed to experiment for diversity.

If i am correct, you have done 3 months with this method and monetization together, any updates on how much could you make :D

Sorry for to many question

Are you using CF IP for each PBN?

What software r you using to manage all the PBN

Are you registering the domain with fake address or protecting it with Who is

Are you using webmaster account to index the links or you make to index naturally

Do you follow all link or use nofollow

Are you restore any article using wayback machine to restore the RD links or just 301 all the link to home page

What is the average cost for total PBN

Are you using free wordpress theme or paid one

All your PBN was from wordpress or you using any other CMS

Are you doing the post in PBN site with back dated?

Are you hosting the T1 and T2 blogs in same hosting server with differ IP. How many hosting account you have for 130 PBN and 2 Money sites

You told, you will not be using any link to T2 PBN. But you use YouTube video to index the PBN will you do same for all post to index or one few post. What other think you follow to index the links

There you go, that is one hardcore PBNer. That is all the questions I had in mind before starting out with PBNs. Answers are given against each question:

Are you using CF IP for each PBN? - NO I don't use CF rather have never tried it.

What software r you using to manage all the PBN - Excel sheets all around, I believe that gives me an advantage of knowing each domain very well unlike any software.

Are you registering the domain with fake address or protecting it with Who is - Half of them are with fake Whois and rest are private.

Are you using webmaster account to index the links or you make to index naturally - No webmaster tools, just leave it to index naturally.

Do you follow all link or use nofollow - All are ********, don't waste them to nofollow, use other methods like Web 2.0, blog comments for nofollow.

Are you restore any article using wayback machine to restore the RD links or just 301 all the link to home page - I used to do it but found little value unless the PBN is niche oriented.

What is the average cost for total PBN - It costed me $2500 for all including initial articles and hosting.

Are you using free wordpress theme or paid one - Mostly free and I have a paid membership of Elegant themes, once in a while I use those premium themes as well.

All your PBN was from wordpress or you using any other CMS - WordPress all the way, nothing to beat its functionality and ease of management.

Are you doing the post in PBN site with back dated? - Nope, why should I when the registration date is public.

Are you hosting the T1 and T2 blogs in same hosting server with differ IP. How many hosting account you have for 130 PBN and 2 Money sites - Almost all are with different hosts. Few do overlap as add on domains.

You told, you will not be using any link to T2 PBN. But you use YouTube video to index the PBN will you do same for all post to index or one few post. What other think you follow to index the links - I don't use videos to index the posts but use them to index the domain immediately after registration. First post is generally a YouTube video to start the process.

do you think there is any difference between linking to your home page and particular blog post which you want to rank?

thanks Sristy. Great I am still don't how you able buy all PNB with this cost and also with content. What is the ROI you have now?

So for one money site you will use all 30 T1PBN links and for second money site you will use another set of T1PBN links right?
PBNs if self scraped or bought directly from scrapers can be much cheaper than those selling resellers resold PBN domains. I would be posting a monetisation update very soon.

I use the same 30 PBNs to link to both money sites and they all are in the same niche so it is hardcore niche relevancy here.

do you think there is any difference between linking to your home page and particular blog post which you want to rank?

I don't think any difference exists in ease of rankings. But inner pages do give an added advantage of getting keyword linked internal links which is also a major factor in rankings.

How did you get the PBN links? Is it bought or is it personally made? Are they all hosted on the same IP? :)

All PBNs belong to me. Expired domains bought or scraped and worked upon. They all are hosted on different IPs and Premium hosts for that matter. No two domains are on same C Class.

Great, that's for the info Sristys :) very helpful
BHW is all about that. I learned most of it from here so this is one of the method to give back something. I will be starting a giveaway here in BHW where in I would be giving away a free PBN domain daily, have been thinking of doing this for long.

That would be amazing :) I'm trying to learn how to build my own PBN at the moment, i'm fairly new :)

Your case study has been invaluable so far. Just a question about how you handle 301s?

Say your expired domain has links coming old links to the site on old pages: /page1 and /page 2 and /page3.....

Do you redirect those pages to the home page? or Would you try to re-create a page url so the old link hits a real page? or allow a 404 to stand? or redirect all 404s to the home page?
