PBN Linking Method - Case Study In Progress

I am not quite sure whether this has been discussed over here, but after having read some case studies by some SEO Gurus i went ahead and tried it for 2 sites. The method is ranking your PBN Tier 1 links for longtail keywords in the niche and then linking to your money site for the main/exact anchor keywords with high competition.

So far, i found mixed results. One site has got Page 1 rankings with just 30 PBN links for 68k searches per month keyword. 14 of 30 PBNs are ranking on Page1/2 for many longtail phrases. Second site just moved from 38 to 18 in SERPs. Have 30 PBN links for 54k searches per month keyword. 12 of 30 PBNs are ranking on Page 1/2 for longtails.

Only one positive i noted from these case studies. The money site have shown up on first 4 pages of SERPs for all those longtails (where PBNs are ranking) without any link to money site with those keywords. Since the rankings are yet to settle down, hopefully we should have the full information in about 2 weeks time.

Any thoughts !

Good work mate, keep us posted. It would be interesting to run a parallel experiment to see if it makes a difference. I strongly suspect Google would go down this path, considering their focus on quality. I've seen some big changes in how they rank content now.

Are your moneysites built on expired domains?

On my latest thread, I managed to hit #1 with 29 PBN links (my own network) for 60k vol search keyword. I usually bounce from 1-3 position. Ahrefs also pick up tons of long tail keywords that I barely targeted. PBN all the way! Keep us updated op.

That is the reason I am running it on two sites, just to be sure enough with the theory.

Have a mix of expired and auction picked up domains. Some with basic 20+ RD and some with as high as 200 RD. I mix it up to keep under the radar. Unique content on them no spun shit. Try to make them as real as possible. Hosted with leading we hosts as well as those mom and pop web hosts. Every blog is registered with privacy or fake Whois and spread among 5 registrars. Post an image with ever piece of content. Post few articles in the beginning without any external links.

No, they are fresh registered but hey have been registered couple of years and was idle in my registrar account so no real power except that they are slightly aged.

But then you got to target your main anchor in those 29 PBNs for them to rank, correct. Now to rank longtails you got to build more links right. Here we are trying to achieve it with the help of ranking them without building links to longtails per se.

also what are the metrics (average TF) for your PBN domains.

Yes that's correct. For long tails I did not build more links. Instead I've done building tier links but with 100% brand domain / naked url. That's to make sure that my link profile looks natural before I do something sneaky

To be very frank, i have stopped trusting those metrics little while back. I take a cursory look at them, but it is the backlink profile which i keep my glare on while analysing a domain. To quote an example, i picked up a 16 year old non-dropped website through auction, site had backinks from UNESCO and 14 .gov websites which also had 212 RD and 800+ backlinks. For some reason the TF on it was 6. I got a bargain deal because of those metrics I don't have to say that each link from that domain is a gem

20% Exact Match
30% Variation by mixing up the words of main anchor and longtails (that is if they are different), this helps in ranking both but not exactly linking to the longtails
50% Brand, Naked URLs and sundry

Oh totally forgot to update. These are the current results.

Main keyword is in position 2 in Google. 12 of 30 PBNs are on page 1 for its longtails. 11 are on page 2 and rest are lurking from page 3-5. So, yes this is a working method except that this is a sure shot method for long term rankings if you know the ROI of your main keyword since this is a slightly expensive method.

I do add related content to my PBNs on monthly basis. The posts with links are sticky on homepage to get max link juice.

I reads regular many case studies about making money, but pbn case study is something new and first time I saw such case study. Will be following.

In your opinion, do you think the results would have been the same if you linked to your money site using branded anchors on the PBNs as opposed to your main money keyword?

Yes, branded anchors provide more or less the same results except that the rankings are pretty slower but they do not come stuck with a penalty fear.

Your not giving no stats away
Example

Pbn 1
Domain metric stats
Number of backlinks
What social expired back links added.

Do this for every pbn you got going,

The reason i ask becouse with a pbn you can make 1 pbn that out blast seval pbn only knowing the stats , the heigher the metrics the better the results , with back links the better there quilty the better results , for example deleting all crap backlinks get a better result, add even better link increase results.

Same with your added social links 2.0 to the pbn the heigher the metric info the better the page postion to google .

You might be adding pbn to point to a page that pulling the page back .

Usally 1 pbn with fantastic contantent get you to page 1 , but using more pbn is dangrous for footprints on Google got to be carefull.

As a test your doing fine and i want to let you no this is how a lot of seo experts are earning monthly money currently.

Setup a pbn for longtail keywords then adding your clients as a link to there money page that pbn can be used ill say 15 links on a safe side as you can see there good money still in links but only via pbn setups.

But the problam us footprints the more links that Re pointing to money websited the more the link dilutes and worth but it also a very good money puller.

But if you was doing this in the real world ,you have to get all your longtail keywords working of one pbn for ultimate effect.

How do you rank PBNs? Do you rank homepage or internal page?
