Wow that just seems a little complex
How many PBNs do you have and how many money sites?
Did you build all of the PBNS by urself or did you buy them, if you bought them, where was it?

What is your raw url/exact keyword ratio? Do you use other links to dilute kw anchor.
2 money sites. 30 PBNs in T1 which also double up as money sites. Numerous PBNs in T2. All are expired domwina with auction domains thrown in between.
I dont directly link to the main keywords, may be just one or two in the whole backlinking effort. But i do use longtails with the main keyword in it.

Just read the entire thread following a tip-off from @Shaunm
Looked back at a previous project of mine from Jan 17. I purchased 5 good domains from Nargil and added some articles in the same niche as my target money site page. I have just checked Semrush and these domains are only ranking for 4 long tail keywords between them. Quite suprised at this as they were decent (low £ end) domains.
The links did not effect the ranking of the money site much. Do you think it would be worth building some PBN T2 links to the PBNs?

No, I link out to all good pages of sites targeting different keywords.
The one and only biggest takeaway for me is to take things slowly. Nothing happens overnight, at least not with the way Google is behaving right now.
That apart effort and patience pays off.
SEO wise I would say, I learned not to follow any pattern while linking out. You never know when a particular linking pattern kicks Google on the wrong side.
Definitely T2 links are required if the domains are just expired ones. Pick up good high end expired/auction domains with high RD and you will get decent rankings without any T2 links. But with every Tom Sick and their grannies building PBNs you will need more than just RD power to gain rankings.Just read the entire thread following a tip-off from @Shaunm

Interested to know your results. Not all PBN work anymore. Yet I wont give up on them and try to rebuild them. One thing that (probably) worked for me is to recreate the exact url and use similar (or same) content like that on the original page.

1- So you're ranking 1st for a kW that's generating 68k visitors a month and yet you only make 30$ a day ! Isn't that weird ? What's your amazon avg product price ? What's your conversion rate ?
I'm asking this because I want to target a keyword with only 700 MS ( Best .. ) and I don't want to invest in 10 Pbns just to make +100$ a month.
2- My keyword , as I said , has 700 MS and around 5 of the 1st page results are 1 year old niche websites. Do you think starting with 10 pbns can actually get me a good ranking or I'm gonna need more ? Now, I know that you can't say for real how much I need but just give me an idea from your long experience.
3- I'm thinking about ranking the Tier1 using expired web2.0s and not pbns, would you think it deserves the effort ?

Here are he answers:
1. The niche is such. It generates lots of traffic in logtails as well but much more monetization happens in two phrase keywords in the niche. I am targeting 4 phrase non-buy keywords. Pretty easy to rank with huge traffic but mostly visitors are looking at content and not into buying stuff. I can make 3 times more if i target the 2 phrase keywords but then i do not want to try them due to the stiff competition. The first page is some huge names in health industry with RD in range of 1k+. Traffic conversion varies from niche to niche and the phrases that you are targeting.
2. In your case, it should be pretty easy to rank with some high profile PBN links. The strategy that you have detailed seem to be good enough to get some rankings in couple of months. Dont rush with your PBN linkbuilding, take it easy.
3. Web 2.0s do not cut cheese. Yes, may be for a short time but for long term rankings and benefits i would advise going with some strong PBNs. I may be biased but that is what i have done all my life

7. what kind of metrics were PBNs for tier 2?
1. They are essentially inner page as i target quite a few keywords and over a period of time you may like to target more keywords, so inner pages are best bet.
2.I use the full power of my PBN network, but it hovers around 10-30 depending upon the comp of keywords
3. I used the exact anchors that i want the T1 to rank for, of course, i used a very generous ratio of direct anchors since they were tier 1 and not MS but ensured that i am under the radar
4. No specific link building to T2. But i got some natural links in the last few months, especially when the T1 started ranking and i tweaked the articles and did lots of social sharing for T2
5. No, they were random. Since you asked i checked a found that 6 of my T1 PBNs are topically relevant in a broad manner
6. I definitely did a research to find longtail keywords with traffic, else it would have been shooting in dark
7. All PBNs hold at least 20 RD.
Little follow up.
1. So you are linking to money site from homepage & that inner long-tailkeyword page on tier 1 PBNs, right?
2. So if 30 tier 1 PBNs, then 300 - 900 tier 2 PBNs?!? Sorry if I misunderstood, but this is important
