This is what I call overthinking. Those are 2 links. 2. Not 2000 
I would just go for it and I would try not to even for a moment disclose my real IP (if it's same) and use CloudFlare on domain1 from very moment I register it and domain2 just regular namecheap (or whatever hosting) provider nameservers.

So an addon domain on the same cPanel?
The problem is, google can see that they are connected by how addon domains work.
Example of what they can see: pbndomain2.mainpbndomain.com
If you don't believe me, try it for yourself, it will load your 2nd pbn.
The safest way is different A-Class IP for every domain.
