many web 2.0, such as blogger, allow you to have a "favorite link" widget added so that you can place your desired links in it. These links will be visible in every post on the side bar.

what are your thoughts on using these widgets in web 2.0 PBNs? from my understanding is that you should not do this. and your PBN should only have 1 link to your money site.

your insight into the 2 assumptions I made is greatly appreciated.

1. widgets/sidebar/footer still pass juice fine.
2. I link to two niche relevant money sites from each pbn

Sidebar links are less effective overall even for "real websites". So, the usage of sidebar links or favorite links as you mention has decreased over the years. However, if you really build a quality PBN which might pass manual review, it might be an idea worth have a look at. Sidebar links often result in a lot of backlinks from a single domain to another domain. So, make sure you do not use sidebar links in multiple PBNs though linking to the same money site or it might be a huge footprint.

You could do and it would likely give some SEO benefit but it is not a sustainable thing to do imo. If you had 10 sites all with sitewide links to your money site and no other links it would be very obvious that you also run these sites and you would surely lose any SEO benefit from them on a manual inspection.

Having just a few links on different pages in the middle of content would provide more SEO benefit as the link is in the middle of relevant content and would be more likely to pass any potential manual inspection you may incur.
