PBN - Buying Expired Domains

Hi all,


I'm looking at purchasing expired domains to use in my PBN, my one concern is that a lot of good domains go on GoDaddy Auctions.


If I use GoDaddy Auctions can I use fake information here (I'm using fake information on all my domains - I'm already aware of the risks here), however I'm concerned that if I purchase one off the auctions it might cause issues?


If I can't do this, what's the best way to buy these GoDaddy domains whilst keeping Google's eyes away from my real information? Quickly transferring the domain to a different domain registrar using fake information is the only way I can think to do it?

You can fake information easily in a godaddy account, I don't get your concern. Or you can buy privacy proxy registration.

My issue isn't faking the information - I've done this plenty of times with a regular godaddy account, I'm just querying whether or not it is the same process when buying a domain through the auction process, rather than just registering a domain?
 
My recommendation don't use GoDaddy for fake info(GoDaddy may ask your identity) anytime.

Try Namesilo and dynadot auction.

Yes, same process, as long as you have the full control of the domains (of course after you won and paid), you can do whatever with them. Just make sure you enter at least an email address that you can access.
 
Transferring the domain name to a different registrar maybe a good option in your case.

Using fake info on Go Daddy is too risky.
 
I personally suggest you to use your real name when you join auction, after you get it just change all information. Much more reliable.
 
Godaddy auctions isn't the only place where you can buy PBN domains. In fact, it is probably the last place where I would look for a PBN domain at.
 
You can still provide fake information. But the problem only arises when somebody claims your domain and if you want to claim your domain in the future, it will be difficult to prove your ownership of that domain.


However, privacy is an important thing. Just go with providers who are offering free privacy register. You can check the following registrars who are providing free private registration: DreamHost, Namesilo , Names.com. Namescheap.
 
Check some other places instead of GoDaddy to buy auction domains.
 
If you have money then choose some other registrar, as others have already suggested, if not choose whois control.
 
Whenever had problem using fake info with godaddy.

They asked me for id once so I sent them a copy of my passport and said I had registered the domain in a customer's name. They accepted that and validated me
 
Tossing in another one: Internetbs offers free whois protection, there's no reason to fake your info.

Please people, stop using Godaddy and let that shitheap sink into the abyss already!
