What's more effective for ranking?

Good private contextual PBN blogposts or SAPE?

PBN, of course.
 
PBN plus one as there are many benefits of it.
 
I would say PBN. Not only that is stronger, but in my case, you are safer then using SAPE links. I got 2 of my websites a penalty because of SAPE, but never on PBN. With PBN you are in control, that is if you build your own.
 
Its PBN undoubtedly. Build your PBN good, it will get you desired results.
 
Sape is for easy rankings boost that you don't have to maintain or mess with. PBN is messy and costs way more than sape up front.
 
PBN if the network is strong and has good metrics - SAPE can give you good results but it's usually short lived
 
A lot depends on what you are trying to rank and how long. For solid long term results pbn is the way to go while sape is good for short term immediate results.
 
PBN > Sape

Sape was the thing of the past.
PBN is now

Even then we dont know the age of your site or the competition of your keywords
 
As a methodology PBN is better, but don't forget you can get some pretty lame PBN's.
 
the benefits are not just in the strength of the link. there is also the speed and effort to get that link.

sape far outweighs pbn on ease of use.

there is no real running cost on sape (other than the very small fee)

footprints are negligible on sape if you choose wisely.

so yes a pbn may be stronger but their are other benefits of sape which exceed the headache that a pbn can cause in order to deliver that strength.
 
I would add:

1. Keywords are pretty hard. Keyword Revealer 40-50 .
2. I am not planning build my own PBN, I would buy some good posts here.
3. I will use buffer sites for both - PBN and SAPE
 
SAPE is definitely more powerful with proper filtering, but it has higher chance of getting hit.

PBN is generally weaker but usually longer lasting.

I haven't tested much with SAPE --> buffer sites, but i heard it is also quite risky from some experienced users, not as safe as it sounds.

For PBN --> buffer sites, this definitely work, but i doubt you can hit top #3 for a high comp kw with this strategy alone.

It really depends on what you are trying to achieve, ranking long term for high comp keywords will require a lot more than buying SAPE and PBN.
 
PBN all the way, unless you are doing churn and burn AND you live in a country essentially without any laws it makes no sense to risk sape. Homepage PBN posts are the safer of the two and have the most upside.
 
Private blog network all the way. Build your own PBN. Do not buy PBN links.

I wouldn't bother buffering. If you go down the SAPE route just understand your site won't last forever and factor is future re-builds and new sites to keep the $$$ flowing in.

The ideal scenario is that you're using both to rank different websites. That way you get the long term benefit of a private PBN whilst getting the quick gains from SAPE.

It's a win, win!
