PBN backlinks have really entered a lonely era

each type of link has its place and purpose, I'm pretty confident in saying that PBNs - when used right - can do things that no guest post can do.
It's true that backlinks have taken the backseat in SEO over the last few years, but it's also true that without backlinks you still can't rank (or at least maintain the rankings long term) on some keywords and PBNs are still some of the strongest links you can get since they are placed on the homepage of sites, where most of the link juice is anyway... So yeah, you gotta use links smartly nowadays

You're absolutely right. PBNs aren't as effective as guest posts. If one strategy isn't delivering results, it's smart to switch things up and try a new approach. SEO is all about testing, adapting, and evolving.

PBNs are still exceptionally powerful. What one needs to keep in mind is that buying a cheap PBN link is never as effective as owning your own PBN domain/website.
If you want really good PBN links and don't want to build your own, then it would make sense to look into renting those links. One very good provider is https://t-ranks.com/
If you look at the bigger picture, you can see that owning your own PBN is still one of the best choices you can make.

Totally agree—PBNs have lost their edge. These days, high-quality guest posts and niche edits seem to bring much better results.

Everything depends on competition. If your competitors are high authority sites, you need solid backlink profile. If your competitors are fresh blogs and random forum posts, you can even rank without any backlinks. Moreover, some niches get boost with spam backlinks and low-quality backlinks while others get shadow banned. So, you need to understand backlink building within a context. What works for some people doesn't work for everyone.
