PBN Auction Question - Should I buy?

Hello,

I've been looking at a domain in an auction, the stats look okay but I have a few questions before I drop money on this domain.

In the anchor cloud in ahrefs, it has "点击进入" as 6% of anchors. This reminds me of then I spam a domain with GSA. Is this normal?

It also has "点击查看" (click to view) as 5% of anchors. Again is this normal?

Apart from this it looks pretty sound, but having chinese anchors makes me wonder - I usually dodge domains that have chinese on the page when looking at wayback, but I thought I'd ask before discarding this domain.

It depends. Look at the other anchors as well, check the backlinks and take a look at historic anchor texts. If they look too sketchy, avoid the domain, there are shittons to go after. Also, try to buy only indexed domains from auctions.

Sometimes this kind of anchor doesn't mean anything, sometimes it's a deal breaker, hard to judge this way.

Thanks for the reply. I think the domain is okay but I'm going to avoid as I'm not 100% sure. The domain isn't indexed and I don't want to take the chance for the price. It's an $XXX price, I could put that money to much better use.

As a general rule, I would avoid anything with Russian or Chinese characters no matter how good the metrics look.

Yeah I just have a bad gut feeling, I might be passing up a decent domain but I don't want to take the risk IMO. If it was $20/$30 I might take the chance - but it was over $200 from someone I haven't dealt with before.

Better safe than sorry IMO
 
the problem with auction pbn is Google can easily trace it. You said that it has foreign language anchor text backlinks, I will think twice buying it. Just also check the domain on archive, I will never buy pbn domains that have foreign languages and used as pbn before

It wasn't a formal auction like Godaddy, someone runs a site and posted them up and gives 5/10 letters of the domain (I found it anyway). It has always been English, but for some reason 6% of anchors were "Click Here" or similar, and 5% were "Click here for more" or something - I can't remember. None of my sites have that unless I'm using GSA, I just felt it was too much of a gamble, and attracted unwanted attention too easily.

I'm sure I'll find something nice soon
 
dude, really:
if you got no brains and aks here for advice, but domains for experienced sellers here..
you got a 99% chance of getting tsth. clean good and strong..
AND you can check the domain..

if you auction for fun, like I sometimes, why not.. but not in your case.
be cheap, get cheap results.

I've asked sellers here, they don't have any domains for me. I apologise for asking a question on this public forum
 
The thing to remember with auctions is there are 1000s of them every day. If a domain looks suspect, if the price goes too high, don't get attached. Keep your cool, pull out and scoop up other domains for minimum bids.

Hi nargil, sorry to quote your post here.

I also found a domain with foreign language backlinks. After looking for its backlinks profile, anchor texts, historic anchor texts, i assume it is a good domain, at least on my pov. It's anchor texts mostly its domain name, but with varieties. It used to be a domain that sells merchandises, shirts, and other things.

Should i go for it, if i want to re-purposed it (switching niches etc.) into english site as money site/pbn? Will it lost its backlinks powers?

Not every foreign site is bad. I tend to avoid Russian and Arabic sites though. Domain won't lose its power if you repurpose it. :)
