What's up with this? i keep seeing it everywhere, if i sell my first items, will the same happen to me? is there a way around it?

well in the beginning, its necessary to pass throw the PAYPAL HOLD, but if you established a good transaction and you ship your orders asap and upload the tracking numbers fast then you wont wait for 21 days hold

A lot of new Paypal accounts face this. This is to deter fraud accounts and unauthorized usage.

The money is released in 21 days.

If you add tracking or get a good feedback on eBay you sometimes get paid quicker.

It's not usually 21 days... that is what it is called because if you dont add a tracking number or get feedback about it paypal will hold the funds that long. If you do add tracking and/or get feedback then you get it within 3 days of delivery or whenever feedback was left.

Its rare to wait 21 days for what i know if you add the tracking number and 2-3 days after its delivered you get the money unless you get positive feedback, sometimes you get it hours after delivered. Add tracking number thru PayPal always for now at least. There's a rare bug eBay doesn't locate the ip from PayPal so out of 40 orders you might need to go into eBay to upload the tracking number again, be wary cause eBay doesn't like late tracking numbers I do 4 days cause academy.com takes long sometimes. I've recently had to start from scratch. A fully veryied PayPal will help allot. I've noticed my holds disappear after uploading a bank account. It was a green dot bank from a prepaid card. On eBays or PayPal's support site I would have needed 30 feed back and another thing I forgot before it being lifted but it caught me by surprise and I was happy. FYI they have out dated information about transaction holds. Try to get feedback without asking cause you will get banned doing that. Once it's delivered give a positive feedback saying thank you allot etc and they will be excited that the package arrived and when they see your feedback there's a better chance getting a feedback from them too to receive the money money faster, I think you get it right after a positive feedback and it's delivered.

does this only effect ebay orders or anything via paypal like cashing out OGADS or cpa network like that?

I'm no expert if anyone can correct me please do but for what I know. EBay sale holds when new are called PayPal jail it's a one time period although I've had many instances that even tho I'm past that I've had rare occasions 1 transaction from eBay are held (it could have to do with their account being risky as well) as jack pit man had explained in a yt vid you will sooner or later have many kinds of holds or need to verify something but once you go past them you don't have many problems. He talks about the importance of having a llc and getting a buisness PayPal if your interested in that. To answer your question I don't think you would get holds unless you have a hold out side of PayPal jail. I'm pretty sure that's just a eBay thing, i get no holds getting paid on my cash back sites. Let me know if you have any other questions that I could answer I don't care.

Just follow the paypal rules. Dont rush too fast.

60 days
$100 sales with no refund
Then your account should be good (i guess lol)

ive had the same paypal for years now and it kinda just sits there but ive made a decent amount of purchases through it so i dont think ill have many problems with it!

Management of a Paypal account involves many 'cost of doing business' inconveniences like the 21 day hold. It just reduces the problem Paypal has with new users or wBay disputes with the same. Just ride it out.

It's 21 days hold if you sell the item and it's high priced.
If you add tracking id or get positive feedback, then it is 3-7 days from my experience.
I don't think there is any other way around this as of late, unless you sell a non-high priced item.

Even when you sell low price items you can still get the 21 day hold.
I sold some second hand cds to warm up my account and got 31p. That's on 21 day hold. Hahah.

I think this also depends on country, the persons account (or non account) sending the payment and type of account you have (personal or business).

Actually there is a way around it, but only after you've gained enough positive feedback, with no opened cases, no bad reputation. You call Paypal and ask them nicely to remove the hold. I did so, and they removed it, however I had a clean record.
